Frequently Asked Questions...
Q.  What is staging?
A.  Staging is what you do to prepare your home for sale. The goal is to make it as attractive as possible, to the the majority of your potential buyers, using whatever budget you have to work with.

See
Staging Explained and Staged to Sell for a more in depth explanation.

Q.  What is the point of staging my home?

A.  The point of staging is to give your property a competitive edge in your market.  You property has to look as good as, or better than, your competition in order to win offers.

If your buyers see 10 houses, which do you think will stand out?  The staged or unstaged properties?  We know from experience; buyers overwhelmingly prefer staged homes.

The point of staging is to maximize your home's potential, helping you sell quickly and for top dollar.

See
Staging Explained and Staged to Sell for a more in depth explanation.
Q.  Is decorating the same as staging?

A.
Interior decorating and staging are actually totally different.

Interior decorating is tailored to please an individual or family.  Staging on the other hand, is intended to appeal to a maximum range of tastes.

Our goal is to make the most of the home, and do it in a way that anyone can appreciate.  After all, you are not selling a decorator, you are selling a home...So stage accordingly!

Q.  How much does it cost to stage?
A.  Your investment in staging is based on your budget, and your needs.  How much can you afford to put into the sale of your home?

The more you can invest, the better your results...But even a little staging goes a long way.  You could spend as little as $199, and see major results, or you could go to the other end of the spectrum and invest $3000 or more to transform your property into a model home.  It depends on your property, your target market, and your budget.

Q.  Can I stage for less than $100?
A.
Yes, you can stage for less than $100.

You can use our E-Stage service to get one or two rooms analyzed at only $39.95 each.  An ASP stager will review your pictures, and send you detailed instructions on how to stage YOUR space.

You'll also get an idea of the general principles, so you can apply them to the rest of the house!

Q.  Can I pay at the close of escrow?

A. You can get up to 90 days with no payments on your furniture rentals, which could be the bulk of your investment.  No extra fees, and no interest!

We are very excited about this program, because it means you can enjoy the benefits of furniture rental, without the out of pocket expense.

The 90 Day Payment Deferment plan only applies to furniture rented through Brooke Furniture rental.  It does not apply to Super Stagers furniture or staging services.

Check out
90 Day Payment Deferment Plan for more information.

Q.  How does staging work?

A.
We start by visiting your property.  Your ASP stager will tour the home, taking pictures along the way.  Once we have seen the property, and discussed your budget, we'll provide a staging estimate along with service options.

After you have decided on your which service you will take advantage of, we put you on our delivery schedule.  The staging itself will take only one day, and we handle absolutely everything, from beginning to end.  At the end of the day, your property is staged, cleaned up, and pictures have been taken.

That's efficiency!

Check out our
Staged to sell page, and Staging Explained for more information.

Q.  Which rooms should I stage?
A. To begin with, you'll want to stage the common areas and, if possible, the master bedroom.

Common areas are rooms like the kitchen, bath rooms, living room, family room, and dining room.

If you have a smaller two bedroom home, you may decide to stage both bedrooms for a sense of continuity.  Homes with 3 or more bedrooms often leave the spare rooms empty and unstaged.

It really depends on your budget, your price range, and your target market.  But don't worry...just schedule your free consultation, and we'll help you sort it out.

Q.  Should I rent furniture?

A.
99% of the time, furniture rental will drastically improve the look of your home.  If your home is vacant, furniture rental is definitely your best bet, but it's not your only option.

You can simply have your home accessorized with artificial trees, art, and smaller accessories.  (See
Staged to Sell for more information)  This is a rather effective option, but a home staged with furniture will always be the best if you can afford the investment.

Q.  How long will it take?
A.
The actual staging takes one day, and includes a quick cleanup, as well as photos.

Although we can handle last minute orders, it's always a good idea to call for your consultation at least 1-2 weeks before you want to go on the market.  That ensures that you'll get the perfect furniture selections and delivery date for your property.

Q.  I have small kids/pets that like to grab/eat stuff...
A.  Kids and pets can sometimes think everything is edible...That's okay!  We'll work with you to make sure your pets and children are all safe and comfortable.
Q.  What "style" will be used in my home?

A.
Because we have access to such a  wide range of furniture, we are able to furnish your home in the style that best complements your unique home.

Every home has is different, but we always believe in a clean clutter-free look.  Remember, the home is what should be on display, not the decor.

For example, a beautiful remodeled kitchen should not overflow with accessories.  You want to see that gorgeous counter top.  The same goes for the bathrooms and every other room in your home.

In staging, as in life, we must fight our eclectic tendencies, and remember that less is more!

Q.  Should I get my house professionally cleaned?

A.
You should definitely get your house DEEP cleaned at least once before you go on the market.  You want even the corners and cracks to sparkle...

The idea is to have a home that looks like new.  You want to lure your buyers with a picture of dust-less, smudge-less, perfection.

Plus, you should maintain it regularly.  If you are away, have your Realtor oversee cleaners before every open house.

Super Stagers does offer deep cleaning services.  Please contact us to schedule a free consultation.
